Lake Algonquin From the Bridge
Lake Algonquin is the part of the Sacandaga River in the Hamlet of Wells. It was created by damming up the Sacandaga River on the south side of the hamlet with a nice little hydro dam. Lake Algonquin is about 225 acres in area. It is great for boating, swimming, canoeing , fishing. It is even home to some bald eagles. Wells is also home for us at Alicia C. Miller Real Estate, Inc.
It is just the sort of peaceful but easily accesible location that makes it an ideal place to locate that vacation or lake home. It is smack in the middle of Hamilton County, the most rural and green county in the whole North Eastern United States.
